Subaru sales of 4,017 vehicles in April marked the brand’s 40th consecutive month of growth, according to official VFACTS figures released today.
Subaru sales were up 4.2% in April and 4.5% year-to-date (YTD), compared to the overall automotive industry, which was down 0.2% for the month and up 3.3% YTD.

The recently revised Outback also performed well, with 862 sales.
Forester sales of 715 rounded-out the strong Subaru Sports Utility Vehicle result.
Among the passenger cars, Impreza sales of 850 underpinned the Subaru performance.
Sales of 171 WRX were up 3.6% for the month and the BRZ tally of 59 was 30.9% ahead YTD, while Liberty sales of 169 were up 4.3% for the month.
Subaru Australia Managing Director, Colin Christie, said: “We’re grateful to the many customers, both old and new, who continue to drive Subaru’s success and growth in Australia.
“In an overall market that declined in April, our range continues to demonstrate strong appeal to customers seeking vehicles that, over time, demonstrate great retained value, durability and engineering integrity – and, of course, fun.
“With new generation Forester due later this year, we look forward to convincing an ever-growing number of Australians of the value and integrity in Subaru’s range.”
